Awesome Soundwave Brings an All-Night Live Electronic Experience to Ibiza With Stimming, Sebastian Mullaert and Christopher Coe

The three artists will perform together throughout the night, creating an entirely improvised journey through modular synthesizers, hardware and real-time collaboration at Akasha Ibiza.

Electronic music is often built around the individual performance. On 16 October 2026, Awesome Soundwave and Ethereal Ibiza are taking a different approach.

At Akasha Ibiza, Stimming, Sebastian Mullaert and Christopher Coe will come together for a rare all-night live performance, sharing the stage and creating the music collectively in real time.

There will be no conventional back-to-back format and no succession of individual sets.

Instead, the three artists will use modular synthesizers, electronic hardware and live improvisation to build an evolving performance together.

The event marks the first time the trio has performed together in this format, making the night a particularly significant moment for the live electronic music community.

Three Artists, Three Approaches

Each artist brings a different perspective to the performance.

Stimming has developed a highly detailed approach to electronic sound, with hardware and sound design playing an important role in his creative process.

Sebastian Mullaert has spent decades exploring improvisation, live electronics and the relationship between technology and spontaneous musical expression.

Christopher Coe brings his own hardware-driven approach while also representing the wider philosophy behind Awesome Soundwave.

The result is a format built around interaction rather than repetition — three artists responding to one another and allowing the music to develop naturally throughout the night.

The Awesome Soundwave Philosophy

Founded by Carl Cox and Christopher Coe, Awesome Soundwave was created with a specific purpose: to champion live electronic artists and create a platform where electronic music can exist beyond the traditional DJ format.

The label’s Awesome Soundwave Live series has expanded throughout 2026, with events already taking place in Dublin and Belfast.

Its arrival in Ibiza marks another important chapter for the project and represents Awesome Soundwave’s return to the island following its DC10 appearances in 2023.

Now, in collaboration with Ethereal Ibiza, the series heads to Akasha for one of its most concept-driven performances to date.

An Unscripted Journey Through Sound

The appeal of the night lies in its unpredictability.

With three artists working simultaneously with modular systems and hardware, every decision can influence what happens next. Rhythms can shift, textures can change and new musical ideas can emerge in response to what is happening on stage.

For the audience, that means experiencing a performance that cannot simply be replicated.

It is electronic music in its most immediate form — created, shaped and transformed in front of the audience.

As Ibiza continues to attract artists and audiences from across the global electronic music community, Awesome Soundwave Live x Ethereal offers a different kind of club experience: one built around experimentation, collaboration and the creative possibilities of live performance.
